This week’s Mystery Card Monday video features the delightful “Bee My Valentine” stamp set. Despite its Valentine’s Day theme, I took a creative detour to craft a unique design using Daffodil Delight and Basic Black cardstock. It was an exhilarating night of intricate stamping and layering that resulted in a vibrant and unconventional creation. So, let’s take a look at the first clue for the Bee My Valentine stamp review.

Tomorrow’s card is landscape.
- card base 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored @ 4 1/4
- coordinating card stock – (2) 5 1/4 x 4 , 4 1/4 x 3, 3 1/4 x 2
- Basic Whire (2) 5 1/8 x 3 7/8, 4 x 2 3/4, 3 x 1 3/4
- image stamp (best if on the smaller side)
- sentiment stamp
- coordinating stamp pad
- coloring medium
- trimmer
- dimensionals
- liquid glue
- gems and ribbon (if you want to embellish)
- scrap for sentiment
- punch for sentiment
The fusion of the sunny Daffodil Delight and the striking Basic Black brought a fresh twist to the classic romantic theme. Through playful experimentation, I discovered the versatility of this stamp set, proving that it can transcend its original purpose and inspire endless crafting possibilities.
To create the card, layer up the Basic White pieces so they are all centered with the largest piece of Basic White. Tack the layers together so they stay in place and you will be able to separate them after you are finished stamping. Choose your stamp set and begin the process of stamping those images on the layers. Once you are happy with the end result, layer those Basic White pieces on the mat layers and pop them up onto the front of the card. You want to make sure that they are all in the upright position.
