When a new catalog comes along, I think the idea is that we have to play with the new product. But today, as I skimmed through the stamp sets on my shelf, I decided to create with a set I have had. The Annual Catalogs “Whale Done” bundle is still available. It contains beautiful images from under the sea.
Here are the simple Saturday/ stepped-up Sunday cards created yesterday during my live. Which one do you think is simple and stepped-up?
For the first card I stamped the images on designer series paper called By the Sea. The “By the Sea” paper is in the mini catalog. The pattern is perfect for water. I stamped in Bermuda Bay on that designer series paper. If you look closely, you will also see a layer of Balmy Blue card stock. The Basic White layer uses an EF that is no longer available, but you could use the Seashells 3D EF.

Measurements
To create the above card, start with a card base measuring 11 x 4 1/4 and scored at 5 1/2. Add a layer of Bermuda Bay 5 3/8 x 4 1/8 topped with an embossed Basic White layer measuring 5 1/4 x 4. Pop up Balmy Blue 4 1/4 x 2 1/8 rectangle followed by Bermuda Bay 4 1/8 x 2. On the 4 x 17/8 layer of dsp stamp your scene using the Bermuda Bay Classic Stamp pad.
The second card I created yesterday was so much fun. The card base and the Bermuda Bay layer are the same measurements as the card above. I masked the basic white layer. Want a closer look at how it was created, head over to my group and watch the replay. Once the paper is protected, blend the open square with a blending brush and Bermuda Bay stamp pad. When finished, remove the tape, stamp the images and add some sequins and the sentiment.
