Today, we’re embarking on a journey from Simple Saturday to Stepped-Up Sunday, exploring the enchanting possibilities of crafting magic with Melon Mambo and Dots & Spots die. 🌸⚫⚪ We are going to use the die in a way I am sure you would never have thought about.
Simple Saturday Card: Effortless Elegance
Our Simple Saturday card is all about the beauty of simplicity. With a dash of Melon Mambo, Basic Black, and Basic White, we have crafted a clean and chic card that’s perfect for any occasion. The Dots & Spots die adds a playful touch, bringing dimension and character to the design.
Stepped-Up Sunday Card: Elevating Elegance
On Stepped-Up Sunday, we take our creativity a step further. We embrace the same charming color scheme but elevate the design with intricate details and textures. Think layered elements, dazzling embellishments, and a touch of whimsy that transforms the card into a true work of art. Notice that we have used the die in a completely different way.
Crafting Instructions: Let’s Get Started!

- Simple Saturday Card:
- Basic White 11 x 4 1/4 score @ 5 1/2
- Melon Mambo 5 1/4 x 4 using the Dots & Spots dies as a stencil blend layer with Memento ink and blending brush
- stamp “celebrate” on Basic White using Memento. Center cupcake and punch using 2 3/8″ punch. Pop up onto the front of the card after coloring cupcake.
- Voila’ tie bow and add to the front with a glue dot.
- Stepped-Up Sunday Card:
- Basic White 11 x 4 1/3 score @ 5 1/2
- Basic Blace 5 1/4 x 4
- Melon Mambo 5 1/8 x 3 7/8 die cut using the Dots & Spots die adhere to the front of the card
- Emboss “celebrate” on Basic White Cardstock using VersaMark and Gold embossing powder. Punch using 2 3/8″ punch and Pop up onto front of the card.
- Stamp cupcake using Memento and color using blends. Pop up onto the circle inside the “celebrate” sentiment
- Finish with a touch of bling and ribbon for that extra wow factor.
