Welcome back to Gal Friday Stamping and my weekly showcase using the Flowering Cactus Product Medley. Luckily, there is no need to add water! Why talk about adding water when we are creating cards? I am talking about no need to add water because I do not have a green thumb. That is very unfortunate too, I love flowers and plants. Unfortunately, I have trouble keeping plants alive.
Here is a secret. When my dad was alive, he use to come to my house every week just to take care of my plants. That was the only way they would stay alive. But alas! Today my card is a flower pot full of beautiful cactus and succulents and there is no need to add water. This pot of plants I surely can keep alive.

Today’s card uses Magenta Madness and basic black as the card base. The plants and flower pot comes from two different stamp sets. Of course I am using the Flowering Cactus Product Medley, because that is the weekly showcase set. You can check yesterdays post HERE. But I also added the Simply Succulents bundle. These sets go together like cake and ice cream.

Take a close look at the plants in the pot. I have colored some of the die cuts from the Simply Succulent bundle, I also added stamped and die cut cactus from the Flowering Cactus Product Medley. These are the plants that I will definitely be able to keep alive because there is no need to add water.
Don’t forget the inside of the card. I have die cut some of the thorns using the die from the product medley. Also added is a strip of Magenta Madness card stock and twine from the Snail Mail Suite.

I will be back tomorrow with another card using the Flowering Cactus Product Medley. Thank you so much for taking the time to visit me today, and also for choosing me as you Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator.
I really like the dramatic color contrast on this card! Can you tell me where the spiky aloe vera type plant stamp came from. Thanks!
Hi Stephanie, I used the die in the Simply Succulents bundle and added some shadows using colored pencils. Hope this helps
