Hello my crafty friends and welcome to Monday. It is the start of a new and glorious week here at Gal Friday Stamping and we are going to have a bit of fun! We are now headed to the Hey Chick (funny) farm with this sweet collection. The focus is on using the new and adorable Hey Chick along with the Happy Birthday Chick stamp sets. These adorable stamp sets will bring a smile to everyone’s face. Now, let’s have a bit of fun!
Do you remember, a few years ago, before my time here at Stampin’ Up! this stamp set was released and became the most popular Sale-A-Bration stamp set of all time. That stamp set is the feature of this weeks showcase, Hey Chick. For a limited time, it is back by popular demand with the added adorable dies. You can purchase the dies and stamp set as a bundle for a 10% discount. For today’s card, I will also be using some other items that coordinate with this bundle, you can see them here.
Today, I am using the Hey Chick bundle. It is a whimsical chicken family containing a variety of images. Pair these adorable images with the Chick dies as we spend a day at the (funny) farm. I also used another product for the card called All Wired Up cling stamp. The All Wired Up stamp is a chicken wire background stamp, perfect for the Hey Chick set.

Let’s Make this Card
Today, I started with a Coastal Cabana card base. I layered the front of the card with Bermuda Bay card stock and a not yet released Bermuda Bay designer series paper. The Bermuda Bay designer series paper was a bonus in the Starter Kit during Sale-A-Bration. Next, I popped up a layer of Basic Black card stock because I wanted to frame out the Basic White layer. After that, I took the layer of basic white along with a blending brush, adding clouds, afterwards I stamped the whole layer with the All Wired Up stamp. Popped up a Coastal Cabana scalloped oval, adhere a basic white oval, stamped the chicken and popped her up too. To finish off the front I added the tree stump, egg, bow and sign, creating an adorable card.

Isn’t she just the cutest standing up on her soap box with that crazy hair? Her hair is colored with a variety of light and dark Stampin’ Blends to match the base of the card. The Hey Chick bundle is perfect for the (funny) farm.

Don’t forget the inside of the card. Just a bit of the designer series paper and the cute little egg with a sentiment were added.
THANK YOU
I just love this card, don’t you? It is a fun and whimsical card. I hope this card inspires you to craft today.
