Night Turns to Day with March Paper Pumpkin

It is a raining Wednesday here in Pennsylvania today! There is no better way to enjoy a rainy day than to craft. What are you doing today? Gal Friday Stamping has created night turns to day cards with the March Paper Pumpkin. If you missed yesterday’s February Paper Pumpkin Alternate cards, you can see them here.

March Paper Pumpkin kit is called “Here’s to You!” It is a special kit that includes card bases, envelopes, cut outs, stamps, a stamp dot, dimensionals, glue dots and twine. But also in the kit were stencils, a sponge and inserts for the envelopes. The March kit is full of crafty goodness.

Alternate Creations

Here is a picture of the eight cards in two designs in the March Paper Pumpkin kit. Of course I wanted to make alternates using the stencils and that is what I did with today’s cards.

In creating today’s cards, I stuck with the same design on both cards but created one with a night background and the other day.

The stencils from the kit were used for the background of both cards. The night card uses the stars and the day card uses the clouds and the sun.

Using the Frost White Shimmer Paint, I stenciled the stars. I also stamped the trees in Pretty Peacock. The trees in the foreground are cutouts from the kit.

Here is the same card design but created for daytime. Again, I stenciled the clouds using Balmy Blue with the sun over the sky with the Daffodil Delight and Calypso Coral. The cloud and sun stencils are included in the kit. I added a horizon with grass in Old Olive and Granny Apple Green adding some sun colors in the center.

Don’t forget the inside of the card. I actually created the same inside for both cards for my night turns to day with March Paper Pumpkin kit.
