Did you ever get so busy that you ran out of time to do what was on your agenda? That is what happened to me yesterday. While preparing the photo album series, I never created a Simple Saturday card. Turns out, that is not a bad thing. Today I created a Simple Saturday card. I also created a Simple Saturday to Stepped Up Sunday card. So you are getting two for the price of one!

Simple Saturday to Stepped Up Sunday card using Quiet Meadow and products from the Simply Elegant Suite.

Same products and basically the same design with a bit of a twist to step up today’s card. With a few changes you can change that simple card into a stepped up card. Both are beautiful using the same products.

Here is the Simple Saturday card before I stepped it up for Sunday.

For my simple Saturday card I used Garden Green, Old Olive and Very Vanilla. There is also a layer of the Simply Elegant designer series paper. Image was stamped on the Very Vanilla in Garden Green as was the sentiment on the Elegant tag punched layer. I also added a bow using the Gold 1/4″ shimmer ribbon.

I did not forget the inside of the card. I took the flower from the Quiet Meadow stamp set and stamped them along the top.

For the inside, I took the flower stamp from the Quiet Meadow bundle and stamped the top. Very quick and easy card and I didn’t forget the inside.

Let’s Step it Up!

Before leaving my craft room, I decided to create the same card but step it up. What do I mean by stepping it up? Doing things a bit different, adding a bit more to create a card that may take a bit longer.

Stepped up Sunday with the same products from Simple Saturday to create a more elegant card.

Card is created with the same layers and colors. Except the Very Vanilla layer was stamped with the flower, I added some gilded leaf and ran it thru the cut & emboss machine with the Tasteful Textiles EF. The designer series paper? I cut the width about 1/4″ smaller then the original card, blended it with Garden Green ink and cut it into strips. Added some greenery, moved the sentiment and added a few gems. You will notice instead of using Garden Green for the sentiment, it is embossed in gold.

Did the same for the inside of this card except the flowers are embossed in gold.

For the inside of this card, instead of stamping the flowers across the top in Garden Green, I embossed them in gold. But making a few changes, I changed a card for Simple Saturday to Stepped Up Sunday.
