Hello my crafty friends and welcome to Simple Saturday.
Each and every week, I pick a product to showcase showing you the versatility of just one stamp set. If you missed my live on Thursday, you can see what I created here. Today, I have a clean and simple sympathy card that is quick and easy. Unfortunately, there have been many times during this last year that there was a need for sympathy cards. Thankfully, the Hydrangea Hill designer series paper creates a beautiful clean and simple card.

I started with the new Hydrangea Hill designer series paper. This paper is absolutely the most beautiful paper I have seen and the choice of which sheet to use was difficult. But knowing that I wanted a clean and simple card I chose the sheet that has the hydrangea border on each end. Perfect for a clean and simple card.

Just the Basics
Starting with the traditional card base in Night of Navy, I layered that with an additional layer of Misty Moonlight. Both colors are calming colors for a sympathy card. But , before adhering these layers to the base, I gold embossed the sentiment. The sentiment is from a Sale-A-Bration stamp set called “Heal Your Heart“. Once the sentiment is embossed, adhere the layers. Next add a ribbon using the Misty Moonlight and tied a bow. Now the layers are ready to add to the card base.
If you aren’t aware of Sale-A-Bration, when you purchase $50 in product (before tax & shipping) you get to choose a free product from a select number of products. How exciting is that?

Next I started creating the inside of the card. The inside is just as important as the front of the card. I adhered a layer of the Misty Moonlight followed by a layer of Basic White card stock. Before adhering the Basic White, I stamped the hydrangea to match the colors of the flowers on the designer series paper.
