Good morning all my crafty friends! Welcome to Sunday Secrets!
Today’s post has gone in a completely different direction.
I am having a hard time keeping my head screwed on straight, how about you? Life hasn’t changed for me with the closing of the businesses and being advised to stay home. I do not leave home that often. I am to the point where I can not get motivated.
In a world that is falling apart, and being just a small cog, I should not feel unmotivated. My worry is that I do not want to come in contact with someone that doesn’t know they are sick. Bringing it home to my husband. How are my children and grandchildren coping. The numbers are scary in each of the states they live in.
But hey! We have been through tough times over the span of history.
Here is my biggest concern.…
Distancing ourselves, self quarantine and staying hidden from the outside world is making us vulnerable. Vulnerable to the connection of the internet, the news media and radio broadcasts. Aren’t we?
I am guilty of doing all those things. Knowing that it doesn’t have to be that way.
Starting today, I am going to create a safe space for myself and I suggest that you do the same.
Don’t click on the news or check out the latest numbers several times a day.
Take time every day to reach for those crafty items and create.
Set aside time to learn that card techniques that you have always wanted to try and never had the time.
Turn on your favorite music and escape the madness around us. Use this valuable time to do all those things you always wished you had time to do.
“I wish I had more time to…..” fill in the blank. How many times have you said those same words. It is a statement that we have all said. Look at this opportunity as a wonderful gift and not a burden. It will change your stressor to a positive and turn your whole day around.
