Welcome back to Gal Friday Stamping. We have made it to the middle of the week showcasing the Flowering Cactus Product Medley. Today’s card will focus on simple stamping and a 3D cactus.
The card base of this card uses Old Olive and Mossy Meadow card stock. As is the Sahara Sand Foil Specialty paper. The foil sheet is from the Love You Always suite. The foil layers are embossed with the Tasteful Textures embossing folder.
As you can see from the original card, I have now added a flower pot to the cactus. A friend of mine said that the original card looked like a pickle!

Next, I embossed the succulent from the Simply Succulent bundle in gold. The next step was to decided how big I wanted that center focal point. It is scary taking a die to the center of the card, but that is what I did. After die cutting the center, I cut a rectangle from the specialty foil 1/8″ larger. I popped up the center rectangle of the card, don’t forget to line up the embossed images.

In addition to focusing on the center of the card, I wanted a 3D cactus on the front of the card. To create a 3D cactus, I die cut the cactus 5 times, folded each cactus in half and adhered them together. The sentiment and twine was the next step to this simple stamping and 3D cactus card. For the cactus, sentiment and twine, the Flowering Cactus Product Medley was used. You can see yesterdays card HERE.

Don’t forget the inside of the card. Use the same succulent stamp from the front, emboss with gold emboss powder down the left hand side, leaving enough room to write your message.
