This week for my Simple Saturday/Stepped-Up Sunday cards the focus on the designer series paper and coloring. During Saturday’s video, I fussy cut flowers and leaves from the Hues of Happiness dsp to embellish my card.
For Saturday’s card I let the designer series paper do all the work. Look how beautiful it turned out. I used Basic White and Blushing Bride which is perfect for this dsp. The sentiment is stamped directly on the front layer.
Keeping the inside just as simple, I stamped one of the flowers from the Happiness Abounds stamp set. This stamp set is part of the Hues of Happiness suite.
Let’s take a look at the stepped-up version of the Simple Saturday card. Changes to the Saturday card are a bit subtle but took more time to create.
I stamped and colored the flowers; I also stamped some leaves behind those flowers. The only other difference to stepping up this card is the bow.
Basic White card base 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4
Blushing Bride 5 1/4 x 4
Basic White 5 18 x 3 7/8 stamp sentiment using Memento
Distressed Gold 5 1/8 x 1 1/2
DSP 5 1/8 x 1 3/8
