Phew, my craft room is a disaster! I am not embarrassed to admit that because it is a well-used room. For the last week, I have been pulling retired stamp sets out, setting them up for my online garage sale. I have also been organizing during the uncluttering and cleaning. There is one thing I always forget to do when I am cleaning and that is clean my stamping blocks.

My blocks have oils from my hands, ink and adhesive all over them. They are dull and well used. I usually just give them a quick wipe before I go live and sometimes, I forget. My blocks are neglected. Let’s take a look at what they looked like new.

With the white background from the catalog, you have a hard time seeing that they are sparkling clean. Never been used and beautiful. So, this morning, my blocks got a cleaning.

First thing I did was pull out the ancient bottle of alcohol. Using a makeup round, I washed each block until they were squeaky clean. Right now they are laying on their side drying.

Next step, a bubble bath in the kitchen with Dawn dish detergent. Dawn will remove the residue left over after cleaning with alcohol. Once they soak, I will take a lint free towel and dry them completely.

Be right back, let me dry my blocks….
Tic tock, tic tock….
I am back and just look at the results! Uncluttering and cleaning the craft room is so satisfying when you get results like this. They are reflecting the light and items around my counter.
